At a Chamber mixer, I won a car wash coupon from Clear Blue Car Wash. When the owner found out I was with the Schertz Area Senior Center, he offered us a large number of coupons to sell as fund raiser for the Senior Center. The end result, because of the Chamber mixer, and because of the generosity of Clear Blue car Wash, we raised over $800! The Chamber's networks really do work!

Less than a year ago I launched MyCommunityCoupon.com in the Schertz/Cibolo area.
After attending numerous networking events I began to see something that intrigued me.  At each of these events I noticed certain business owners “stood out”.   I began to note many of the same qualities in these people.  They were confident, they seemed to know everybody & it appeared that they were very successful business owners.    
I’ve always heard that success leaves clues so I put on my detective hat (also known as Google) and went to work.  What I found was that each of those “stand out” people were members of Schertz Chamber of Commerce.  You don’t have to be a detective to know, that’s a big CLUE!
“Surround yourself with successful people”.  We’ve all heard it and that’s exactly what I did when I joined the Chamber.  I’m not sure if every Chamber member has reached all of their business goals but I am sure that if they remain active in this Chamber & use the benefits offered, they will be.  Joining the Chamber is the single most important business decision I made.  We have enjoyed increased business as well as better quality of business. 
I once thought that Chamber members were business owners that already had huge success in their businesses, I was wrong.   The Chamber is for anyone with the desire to succeed, that wants to be involved with their community and understands the importance of good relationships within that community.  
I was told it was expensive to be a Chamber member so I wondered if I could afford it.  I soon learned that I had shoes that cost more than membership!  Once I joined it’s clear that the value I’m receiving is far greater than the cost to join. 
Growing a business is hard work.  The best thing any business owner (new or established) can do is join the Chamber and let Maggie & the membership help you grow. In my opinion-  you can’t afford not to.
